In the heart of Sorrento, a magnificent garden leads, like an elegant avenue, to the Excelsior Vittoria, one of the most iconic and prestigious hotels on the Sorrento Peninsula. Here, weather permitting, the tables of the gourmet restaurant are set out on a spectacular panoramic terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples and the sunsets along the coast; alternatively, the experience continues in the elegant dining rooms inside. In the kitchen, Antonino Montefusco offers a range of tasting menus, including one dedicated to plant-based cuisine, in which ingredients and traditions from Campania are reinterpreted with a contemporary sensitivity and great attention to presentation. The quality of the raw ingredients is brought to the fore through meticulous preparation and combinations that are anything but run-of-the-mill, while maintaining the generous portions of the dishes. Among the most impressive dishes, the red mullet served in a ‘tortiera’ with marinated red onion and green beans stands out, but the lavish selection of amuse-bouches that kicks off the dining experience is also unforgettable. To round off the experience, there is a particularly extensive wine list, with a remarkable selection of wines also available by the glass.
