Part of the Roter Hahn boutique hotel, chef Maximilian Schmidt presents a refreshingly cool, contemporary concept. Diners enter the restaurant by ringing the doorbell. The atmosphere is exclusive, cosmopolitan and urban, yet pleasantly laid-back with mellow music playing, and the service is at once engaging, discreet and professional. You can sit at the counter overlooking the striking open kitchen with its red tiled walls or at traditional tables on the mezzanine level – it's best to specify your preference when reserving. The set menu impresses with creative, distinctive dishes. The chefs take a bold approach with creations such as "langoustine, sea buckthorn kosho" and "pigeon, baba ghanoush". Centre stage is given to the outstanding main ingredient, accompanied by an exceptional sauce – pared back and precisely executed, yet layered and full of character.
