It's not just the name that's Swedish (storstad, meaning "big city", is a reference to owner Anton Schmaus's time in Stockholm); Nordic accents are also incorporated into the urban-chic design of this fifth-floor restaurant in the Turmtheater. Up here in the historic Goliath House, the wonderful terrace affords views of the cathedral. The culinary concept comprises a five-course set menu in the evening, available in regular and vegetarian versions; from Tue to Thu, diners can also order à la carte. At lunchtime, there is a choice of three or four courses. Simone Kubitzek and Hella Eggers head up the kitchen, having already worked closely together at previous restaurants. Hosts Anton and Anna Schmaus and their front-of-house team are experienced and courteous.
