The name is a nod to both the "bikini" – Catalonia's iconic toasted sandwich – and the Grand Bé islet that lies off Saint-Malo across from the restaurant. Nicolas Bourdon (who previously opened Le Coude à Coude) has redesigned this stripped-back space that offsets exposed concrete with pops of colour. It is set practically on Plage du Sillon, opening up to both the kitchen and the sea. At lunchtime, the precise and unpretentious seasonal menu features expertly executed dishes (seared asparagus, pearly hake, cream puffs). In the afternoon, the venue morphs into a tearoom and pastry shop; in the evening, the menu is more ambitious. Friendly service.
