Housed in a historical building, this charming restaurant has more of an intimate feel at the front than at the back, thanks to the natural light. However, the best spot is the canal-side terrace – perfect for soaking up Leiden's vibrant atmosphere. The chef proposes an appealing set menu with options for each course (priced higher in the evening than at lunch) alongside an à la carte selection that showcases premium ingredients. From sole fried in butter to skrei topped with a Taggiasca olive crumble and accompanied by a bright sauce vierge, lobster tartare and a rich lobster bisque, her dishes highlight classical technique at its best.
