For over ten years this welcoming trattoria has delighted its guests with a vibrant seafood cuisine steeped in Sicilian and Mediterranean character. In the dining room, a blackboard of daily specials invites guests to choose between recipes of solid local tradition and offerings that celebrate the sea with simplicity and personality. Among the house must-tries, the delicious bruschette del marinaio stand out: a trio of swordfish and aubergine caponata, marinated anchovies and amberjack carpaccio with salt and tuna bottarga, a perfect expression of the venue’s true calling. Also well worth trying is the “Caciucco Mercede”, rich and fragrant, prepared with John Dory, scorpionfish, sea bass, prawns and squid. And to close on a sweet note, room must be left for the desserts, in particular the “Scannolo”, a deconstructed and highly accomplished interpretation of the classic Sicilian cannolo.
