In the lush heart of Istria, a long-established family-run hotel and restaurant where guests are seated in a classic and welcoming dining room, while in the summertime the terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside is enjoyable. The cooking is deeply rooted in the territory, it is robust and full of flavour, with particular attention given to meat: from the prized Istrian prosciutto to the more substantial cuts, through to the house specialities, among which game and slow-cooked preparations stand out. The wild boar is well worth trying: cooked with a rich bouquet of aromatics, enriched with porcini mushrooms and served with roasted polenta.
