The restaurant is located in the comfortable and stylishly furnished Huus Löwen hotel, part of the Appenzeller Huus resort. The lovingly designed interior, which features rustic floorboards, gorgeous reclaimed wood on the ceiling and walls, and eye-catching lamps with a distinctive design make for a wonderfully cosy atmosphere. Seated at attractively set tables without tablecloths, diners are served an à la carte selection of flavour-packed dishes based on carefully chosen regional ingredients. The menu ranges from classics like "Chäs-Hörnli, Appenzeller cheese, crispy onions, apple sauce" to creations such as "yellow gazpacho, yellow tomato, yellow pepper, basil" and "veal Tafelspitz, cooked pink, chanterelles, potato purée, peppercorn jus". The wine selection in the visually striking wine cellar is outstanding. A great alternative to the highly ambitious Bärenstobe, which serves a set menu.
