This small restaurant, located in the quieter Plaza de Toros area away from the main tourist area of the city, is enjoying a second ‘golden age’ in the hands of young owner-chef Ismael Suleiman, who has brought a new lease of life and a more gastronomic feel to the cuisine. The overall ambiance here is that of a neighbourly and informal bistro with a single dining room plus a pavement terrace. The à la carte, nicely complemented by a tasting menu, features traditional cuisine with modern twists, seasonal ingredients, and elegant presentations. This spot is known for its delicious stews and rice dishes, such as ‘Pochas’ with partridge stewed Toledo-style or creamy rice with free-range chicken stewed in sherry.
