There’s an air of understated glamour at this Chinese restaurant in the Ranelagh neighbourhood. The interior is decorated with dark patterned tiles, olive-green banquettes and a bar topped with Connemara marble. Despite the restaurant’s name, the menu looks to the regions of Sichuan and Guangdong, as well as Hunan, for inspiration – taking diners on a tour of southern Chinese flavours. The likes of Hunan ‘bandit-style’ pork liver with vibrant pickled chillis show off the kitchen’s skill, while the generous portions ensure good value for money.
