Behind a rather unassuming exterior an upscale minimalist-style space awaits. The service is friendly and professional. In the kitchen, top-notch fresh ingredients meet expert preparation techniques. The sushi and sashimi offer exceptional value, but more adventurous diners should try the unaju (rice bowl with barbecued eel) or the barbecued tuna head with vinegar for a real explosion of flavour. Complement your meal with some warm sake or Japanese beer. It is rare to get a table on the spur of the moment, so make sure you book in the evening. With a bit of luck, you can dine directly at the counter with its fish display case and watch the chefs at work. Lunch reservations are not possible – diners often queue at the entrance even before opening time.
