Tanja and Tobias Schöpf's establishment is pleasingly informal. She provides cordial and proficient service in the inviting wood-panelled dining space, occasionally taking a seat alongside diners at their table. Her husband, meanwhile, prepares five flavoursome dishes using regional ingredients, for you to select à la carte or as a set menu. Tantalising examples include Riebelmais (dry-milled corn), onion, Vorarlberg mountain cheese, or chicken leg, Savoy cabbage, leek, parsley root. He likes to keep things natural and seasonal – he goes hunting and forages for mushrooms, buds and herbs. The wine pairings, too, are carefully selected – an alcohol-free alternative is also available.
