Set in pretty rural surroundings, this neatly kept country pub features a beautifully manicured garden that makes for a special setting when the sun is shining. The straightforwardly satisfying cooking is generous in both size and flavour, offering dishes such as a roe deer and root vegetable pot pie with mashed potato. Most of the vegetables come from their own garden and you can even buy some produce, preserves and chutneys from the small deli.
