It’s easy to see why Vinkkeli has plenty of regular guests. Not only does the room itself have a warm and inviting ambience, but the charming and attentive team fully embrace the philosophy of the sign hanging outside their kitchen: “We are Ladies and Gentlemen Serving Ladies and Gentlemen”. And all that’s before you even get to try the food. The cooking here is fresh, honest and well-judged, with a pleasing mix of traditional and more modern influences coming together in flavoursome combinations such as pan-fried red mullet with roast potatoes and lobster sauce. The set lunch represents good value.
