The beautifully balanced tasting menu at this town centre restaurant features an impressive array of creative and eye-catching dishes, all made using quality ingredients like Orkney scallop, Anjou pigeon and wild Shetland halibut. The eponymous chef and his team are on-view in the open kitchen, while the bright young service team have an infectious enthusiasm, which helps keep the atmosphere buoyant and relaxed. Plans are currently afoot to absorb the ground floor – formerly a jewellery shop run by the chef’s father – into the restaurant to complement the upstairs dining room.
