The first dining pub from local independent brewers Crooked Brewing, this surprisingly spacious corner site is all about unadulterated, rustic British dishes. The simply designed space features regularly changing works by local artists on the walls and has space in the bar for drinkers and snackers – but the rear dining room is best for a proper meal. The daily evolving menu features traditional, hearty fare such as crab crumpet with an excellent bisque or moist braised hogget shoulder with piquant salsa verde. Welcoming, relaxed service adds to the appeal.
