This cosy little restaurant is run with passion and pride by an experienced husband-and-wife team – and it’s clearly a hit with the locals. Tucked away in a West Sussex market town, inside it has a simple, modern style with whitewashed walls enlivened by Eric Ravilious prints. The cooking exhibits all the hallmarks of an experienced chef, with confidently prepared, flavoursome dishes that have enough modernity to remain fresh, whilst being underpinned by time-honoured craft. Efficient, well-paced service completes the picture.
