The Gladwin brothers cut their teeth running restaurants in central London and have now headed closer to home with this rustic and homely pub in the charming village of Amberley. The cooking utilises produce from their own farm near Chichester, in no-nonsense, rich and hearty dishes. In the summer, the terrace allows you to admire the colourful garden and the weekend outdoor barbecue menu includes skewers such as homemade wild garlic sausage or retired hen. Twelve bedrooms on site allow you to linger longer and explore this beautiful part of the South Downs National Park.
