The titular Shogo Amamoto is renowned for his original Taipei restaurant and this 16-seater London outpost faithfully conveys the same philosophy across its many beautifully crafted courses. Jongho Park – who was here when this space was known as Taku – still heads up the kitchen, showcasing outstanding knife skills as he prepares Fukuoka-style sushi that comes with great generosity in the servings. The outstanding seafood is largely European, with the Spanish tuna being a highlight, and the subtle seasoning of the rice ensures each piece is perfectly balanced.
