The street outside may be lively, but the step inside Stallen and you’ll enter a world of calm. It’s a tiny place, set inside a former stable block, where you can either dine beside the kitchen or request a table upstairs for a little more intimacy. Around 10 diners are served per evening, with the concept explained at the start and the procession of dishes served by the whole team, from the manager to the chef himself. The surprise menu evolves daily and has a playful touch, with the attractively presented dishes making great use of vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruits from their own garden.
