The centuries-old castle with its extensive grounds is a magnificent property, boasting stylish rooms and salons displaying period details behind its massive old walls. This stately backdrop makes for a fabulous setting in which to relish classic cuisine either à la carte or in the form of a three- to six-course set menu. Caviar or oysters are popular appetisers, followed by tempting dishes such as "smoked eel, eel glaze, beetroot, potato, radish" or "lobster tail, mandarin, kumquat, walnut, gin gel, bergamot beurre blanc". Friendly and attentive service. Tip: There is an interesting set menu at lunchtime. In an adjacent building, three pretty apartments accommodate overnight guests.
