Thick carpets, neatly laid tables and cosy banquettes combine with a large cocktail bar for an appropriate sense of occasion, while the menus offer a roster of classics. There’s a great value set menu featuring the likes of roasted bone marrow or shepherd’s pie, while the à la carte has a more luxurious feel, from the Jersey oysters to the beef Wellington to share. Look out for dishes from the polished silver trolley too, like chocolate mousse and cherries flambéed at the table.
