On the doorstep of the Breggia Gorges and just a few miles from the border, this former mill framed by greenery paints a picture postcard snapshot of peaceful countryside with a garden to relax and wind down and three cosy dining rooms, where the stage is set for a cast of bold, wholesome flavours to take the limelight. Traditional down to its core, the menu stars dishes like fork-tender sweetbread, served in a succulent jus and enhanced by crunchy cashew nuts and fresh scallions. The wine list pays tribute to Ticino with some 200 labels, including a traditionally crafted sparkling wine not to be missed. Ticks all the boxes for a country weekend oozing in culinary indulgence.
