Stuart and Luca have been friends since hotel school and have turned their shared dream into reality with this sleek, intimate and rather minimalist restaurant. The bonsai tree in the middle of the dining space is a nod to the restaurant's fascination with Asian influences. The chefs love blending their French foundations with Asian sweetness and spice, pairing al dente green asparagus with a richly flavoured rendang sauce whose gentle heat is balanced by sweet-and-sour nuances. The patiently reduced sauce has real character, and the dish is finished with grilled Turkish bread topped with yoghurt and a green curry condiment. Those keen to taste the chefs' Indonesian influences should order à la carte; the set menu takes a more modern turn. Reverie brings all these elements together with energy and ambition.
