A “hidden oasis” of peace and harmony in the heart of Ljubljana, just steps from the lively riverfront. Shambala is an Asian restaurant of elegant and discreet atmosphere, with oriental references that never tip into excess. The gastronomic proposal ranges across Japan, Thailand and Vietnam, with meat, seafood and vegetarian options available both à la carte and as tasting menus. Among the specialities, an excellent Thai curry stands out alongside traditional preparations and others of fusion inspiration. In the desserts, more classic notes are enriched with exotic touches, as in the panna cotta with mango and date sauce. The attention given to pairing Asian cuisine with wine is also of interest.
