With its elegant, warm and welcoming decor, Nectar brings the historical charm of Zutphen's city centre indoors. The concept is compelling from the outset: all dishes are served in medium-sized portions and are available both in tasting menus and à la carte. From the very first bite, you can tell that Joost van Outheusden gives free rein to his creativity without lapsing into unnecessary complexity. Succulent monkfish, for instance, is glazed with XO sauce and served with fennel in a variety of textures and a beurre blanc infused with tandoori spices. This is playful cooking that looks beyond borders and allows bold flavours to speak for themselves - all in a wonderfully welcoming setting!
