A great place to experience nature untamed – in a sensational location at an altitude of 1 550m! Under the direction of Benedikt Voss, thoughtful and imaginative cuisine is prepared with precise craftsmanship and great attention to detail. Only premium, mostly organic produce from Switzerland is used, as well as over 400 different herbs from the restaurant's kitchen garden. Available in either a nine- or five-course format, the "Terroir" set menu reflects the region in all its facets. Tip: Try the alcohol-free drink pairings, which include house-made lemonades. The wine list features exclusively biodynamic wines from Switzerland. Service is friendly and attentive. The terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink before dinner. To soak up the sensational setting and nature-centred philosophy a little longer, book one of the simple but well-kept guestrooms at the Kräuter Hotel Edelweiss, in which the restaurant is located. To get here from Vitznau, take the Rigi-Bahn railway to Staffelhöhe, the station just outside the building.
