The Idle Rocks hotel occupies a prime waterside spot in this popular Cornish coastal town and boasts a good line in bright, understated luxury. A similar stylishness makes its way into the Reef Knot restaurant, where terrific bay views can be enjoyed from almost every table, but are best appreciated from the fabulous terrace that runs the full length of the hotel. Prime seafood is understandably the menu’s focus, whether that be rock oysters, roasted skate wing or “Mum’s Bouillabaisse” based on a recipe from Chef Guy Owen’s mother.
