Don't be misled by the name: there is nothing petite about this luxury bistro. From the comfortable seating and green panelling to the marble tabletops, fine glassware and porcelain, this place has style. There are also two guestrooms upstairs. Chef Tijn and sommelier Marly draw on their experience at top restaurants to create an exuberant interplay between food and wine. Tijn's repertoire ranges from sole meunière prepared in time-honoured tradition to a more elaborate, beautifully nuanced mango dessert. French classics are given a little extra flair through subtle refinements and ideas from further afield. The predominantly European wine list promises plenty of appealing options, as does the extensive food menu. Whether you come for lunch, drinks or dinner, Petite is always a good idea.
