This restaurant is housed in what was once the castle tavern, an outbuilding on the estate. It comprises a series of tastefully decorated high-ceilinged rooms with attractive hardwood flooring, large lattice windows, chandeliers and classical paintings, as well as the cosy, rustic Schlossstube. There is also a pleasant terrace on the forecourt. The friendly and attentive waitstaff serve predominantly Austrian fare made with market-fresh produce. Tempting options include chanterelle goulash and Wiener schnitzel, perhaps followed by Palatschinken (Austrian pancakes) or a slice of Sachertorte for dessert.
