Situated in a busy market town, this well-run restaurant has a fresh, natural look thanks to its green walls, foliage and rustic upcycled furniture, while a smattering of cookery books add to the homely feel. The cooking comes in the form of a seasonal set menu, using the best of the British larder in dishes such as Scottish lobster tail with tandoori hollandaise or local Dunwood Farm chicken with girolles and lovage.
