This historic country manor house, gleaming with classy elegance and set amidst unspoiled rolling countryside, will take your breath away. Now add exquisitely tasteful guestrooms and you have yourself an idyllic country retreat! The seasoned virtuoso chef allows the (preferably local) ingredients to shout their name, whilst seeking to generously and delicately enhance their traditional flavours. He may pair locally reared chicken with a sublime Albufeira sauce, a subtle duxelles of mushrooms, chunks of foie gras and shavings of truffle. Crispy skin and poached curly kale add a playful dimension to the sides. The set menus, particularly game in season, tick all the boxes – what’s not to like?
