La Fleurie immediately catches the eye: an elegant restaurant that nevertheless retains a relaxed feel. Hostess Loes is always on hand and embodies the warm hospitality of the place. Martino Verbruggen's passion and experience are equally evident. His intense sauces are irresistible, such as the beautifully reduced veal jus enriched with sage, served with succulent veal fillet and crisp sweetbreads. His cooking is intricate and refined, with occasional international touches lending a little extra verve. Everything here is just as it should be – a delight for any food lover.
