This restored old barn has retained a homely rustic feel. The chef, whose CV boasts establishments of the calibre of Jacques Maximin and La Grenouillère, orchestrates a purebred Gallic score, in which red meat enjoys a leading role. The meal often kicks off with a delicious country terrine and a selection from the cheese trolley is included in the menu. Finish with one of the house signature desserts: honey-laced crème brûlée or a meringue and verbena ice cream extravaganza, flambéed in Velay liqueur.
