Dating back to 1894, the Kronenschösschen hotel is a classic establishment of the Rheingau. Its bistro offers a pleasant alternative to the fine dining restaurant. A cosy interior with bags of traditional charm is the backdrop for seasonal cuisine based on carefully selected ingredients – think sautéed leg of lamb with wild garlic spaetzle and mushrooms. Diners can choose from the à la carte selection or opt for the four- or five-course surprise menu. Also highly recommended: classics such as "Salmon trout from the Wispertal" or "Whole lobster served in two courses" (for two people). The experience is rounded off by a well-curated wine list and attentive service. In fine weather, head for the exceptionally pretty terrace set in a beautiful garden planted with mature trees. Comfortable guestrooms and stylish suites make this an appealing option for an overnight stay.
