Set within the elegant surroundings of the Grand Hotel Fasano, the restaurant welcomes guests into a refined dining room where wood, the dominant feature of the décor, helps to create a warm and cosy atmosphere. In the warmer months, however, it is hard to resist the splendid panoramic terrace – the property’s real highlight – from which the view stretches out over the lake, offering a sight of rare beauty. Maurizio Bufi’s culinary offering comprises tasting menus – including one dedicated to plant-based dishes – and an à la carte selection. While there are certainly references to Puglia, his homeland, and to the lake district where he is based, his cuisine stands out above all for its creative and contemporary approach, which draws freely on ingredients and influences from various Italian regions, while respecting the seasonality and quality of the raw ingredients.
