Every ounce of luxury in the hotel and spa finds its culinary match in this restaurant. The Japanese concept of ikigai describes everything that makes life worthwhile. Fine details such as elegant tableware and decorative Japanese kokeshi dolls hint at a deep affinity with Japan – above all, however, this is expressed through the food. Drawing inspiration from his travels, Christoph Rainer consistently integrates Asian and Japanese elements into his creations. A particular highlight is the "Tristan rock lobster binchotan BBQ" – a dish that underscores the exceptional quality of the ingredients. Adept service comes courtesy of an unflappable front-of-house team that includes cordial sommelier Marie-Helen Krebs – pleasant, laid-back and impressively knowledgeable.
