Dating back to the 13C, Hof ten Broeck is steeped in history. The picture postcard restaurant, which stands in a superb, moated estate, overlooks a water feature, a photogenic footbridge, manicured gardens and peaceful woodland. We recommend starting with a drink at the bar, followed by an alfresco meal on the terrace. Belgium’s characteristic flair for interior design shines through in the stylish mix of old and new. A closer look at the menu unveils the chef’s delicate hallmark, classical background and love of outstanding ingredients. He is however not averse to adding the odd Asian twang or to updating family favourites, such as monkfish jazzed up with XO sauce. Both the polished score and the tasteful decor are emblematic of the establishment’s baseline: the ‘art of enchanting’.
