This welcoming countryside restaurant is rooted in a long family tradition: the Repovž family has owned the property for more than 500 years, while the restaurant itself dates back around three centuries. Today, kitchen and dining room work in harmony to offer tasting menus that showcase the flavours of the region through a balance of tradition and contemporary creativity. A signature appetiser provides a snapshot of the territory, featuring trout, vegetables from the kitchen garden, rabbit with plum cream and pork with horseradish mousse. The wine list is also of great interest, with Slovenia in absolute command: worth seeking out are the Laški Riesling from Slovenian Styria, a natural wine of broad structure and persistence, and the Frelih St. Rupert, a lightly macerated Sylvaner of finesse and expressiveness.
