Enjoying a privileged location close to via Vittorio Veneto and in a quiet corner within the modern W hotel – with which it shares a welcoming cocktail bar and well-tended garden – Giano offers a contemporary concept: informal at lunch, with simple, straightforward dishes, and more gourmet in the evening, when the offering broadens and becomes more refined. The cooking, led by the chef with the support of Ciccio Sultano’s experience (two-starred Duomo in Ragusa), reflects a clear Mediterranean and island identity, with echoes of Sicilian traditions reinterpreted in a modern key. Among the recommended specialities are the iconic spaghetti taratatà (tuna and bottarga), caponata and carpacci, expression of a cuisine with clean, satisfying flavours. The desserts also deserve attention: the classic ricotta cannolo refreshed with a prickly pear consommé and the more creative Banana Mirage reveal accomplished and indulgent pastry work. A contemporary homage to Sicily, completed by attentive and professional service that contributes to making the experience harmonious from start to finish.
