Tapping into the region is the name of the game here. In the cosy setting of a traditional country inn, diners are served flavoursome dishes that celebrate local ingredients. Top-quality produce is prepared without fuss – the emphasis lies squarely on taste. There is a wide selection of vegetarian, meat and fish dishes, as well as the classics of this type of establishment. Highlights include salmon trout – pan-fried with white carrots and gnocchi, and Grammelknödel – a potato dumpling stuffed with cracklings and chilli, served with summer cabbage, Red Amposta onion and courgette. Choosing a wine is no mean feat either – the list boasts more than 2 800 labels! There is a separate menu for Veltliners, white wines, red wines, international wines and magnum bottles.
