This centrally located establishment, which started life as a modest sandwich shop, has continued to evolve into a gourmet restaurant with an urban atmosphere and a decor dominated by dark tones. Chef-owner David Joaquín brought about major change at the restaurant after his time at the Basque Culinary Center. Today, he presents a creative concept that draws on Mediterranean tradition and, as well as à la carte service, centres around two menus: Compartir (’Sharing’, for a minimum of four diners) and Degustación (’Tasting’, with a choice of main course). The standout dish was Bloody Mary's savoury torrija (bread pudding), with an all i pebre (garlic and paprika) emulsion, smoked eel, and trout roe.
