Marcos Area, the young chef from Marín at the head of this restaurant, has restored what used to be his great-grandparents’ home (tucked away in an alley) to make his dreams come true and, above all, to bring Galicia’s culinary essence to our palates. In its charming, casual dining room—featuring a large ‘chef's table‘ and an open kitchen (with an additional four tables on the upper floor)—you’ll find an excellent menu of daily specials, very much in the spirit of a ‘micro-season’, as well as a two tasting menus (Pequeño Xantar and Gran Xantar). You can expect to find sea urchin with various textures, fabes (beans) with seafood, monkfish from the Cíes Islands in a seafood sauce, and more.
