Set in a former warehouse by the picturesque Noorderhaven, this relaxed bistro-cum-brewery greets you with the aroma of freshly brewed beer and views of the large brewing kettles. Its appealing blend of pub atmosphere and attentive service adds to the easy-going feel. The cooking knows no boundaries, moving effortlessly between classic and creative, with the house beers occasionally playing their part. For example, the chefs pair rabbit fillet with yellow beetroot, cubes of Morbier cheese, a quenelle of mustard ice cream, apricot and a warm orange sauce. This is bold, vibrant cooking. If you can't decide, opt for the surprise menu; choosing à la carte is an equally good bet. The house beers add personality to the dishes. There is something truly compelling about Dokjard.
