Brigitte and Joachim Sauter's spruce inn has long been prized for its flavoursome cuisine. The dishes are prepared with great care and classical craftsmanship. The nicely curated, varied à la carte menu changes with the seasons, with regional and Mediterranean dishes proving equally enticing. Other appealing options are "Unser kleines Schlemmermenü" and the surprise menu served on Wednesday evenings, both comprising four courses. The proprietress provides warm, professional service. Refined yet cosy, with traditional country charm and a palpable sense of the building's history, the interior is equally inviting. In fine weather, the pretty courtyard garden is a lovely spot.
