In the heart of Klagenfurt, restaurateur couple Stefanie Falkenberg and Fabian Kautz welcome you to their charming little restaurant with vaulted ceilings and an inviting atmosphere. The cuisine is flavoursome and varied, and service is warm and attentive. The three- to five-course set menu changes monthly and is prepared with care and precision using fresh seasonal ingredients, including some from the region. Chef Fabian Kautz also enjoys interacting with diners and presenting his dishes himself. Wine pairings are available on request, or there is a selection of alcohol-free drinks, most of which are made in-house. Incidentally, the name "Das Vogelhaus" ("The Birdhouse") is a play on the owners' surnames: Falkenberg contains the German word Falke ("falcon"), while Kautz sounds like Kauz ("owl").
