Dennis Huwaë has returned to the Jordaan neighbourhood he knows so well and feels perfectly at home in this elegant street-corner building. The tasteful mix of warm colours, wood panelling and a modern bistro feel provides the ideal setting for his individual take on fine dining. Creative and cosmopolitan are two words that characterise his cooking, but he also likes to stay close to the fundamentals. The range extends from a fluffy prawn bao bun to an indulgent stroopwafel (Dutch syrup waffle). He prepares different cuts of lamb with contrasting flavour nuances, such as caramelised rib with a char siu glaze. His attention to detail is evident, and he holds your interest from the amuse-bouches. The extensive wine list also deserves a special mention and is sure to appeal to connoisseurs.
