The magnificent Cromlix hotel in the Stirlingshire countryside is the setting for this intimate, seven-table restaurant. There’s a dark, moody feel to the room, with black walls providing a backdrop for the modern artwork. Some homegrown ingredients along with the wider Scottish larder form the basis for the tasting menu, along with a few subtle Japanese influences, in the balanced and intriguing dishes – such as North Coast turbot with Shetland mussels and Naughton Farm cider. The excellent wine list is enhanced by the knowledgeable sommeliers.
