Just outside Belfast, this 18th-century water mill makes for a wonderful restaurant setting, surrounded by flowering meadows when in season. The ground floor houses a deli and café, while upstairs there’s a vast, airy room with a cathedral ceiling and terrace out front. The kitchen is tucked away behind a wall, with diners welcomed here in front of the pass as Chef Carlos Capparelli and his team craft fresh, vibrant and generous dishes inspired largely by the Mediterranean and the Levant. If you get the chance, do try the delicious Portavogie prawns with ’nduja tomato sauce.
