A few steps lead down to this attractive, clean-lined restaurant in a smart corner-plot building, where Johannes Kemper serves modern, seasonally influenced cuisine. His dishes are skilfully prepared, with carefully considered combinations and precise, well-judged contrasts. The ingredients take centre stage, as illustrated by the excellent raw marinated Wagyu beef, served in thin, tender slices with firm freshly sautéed chanterelles and aromatic cherries. The set menu comprises three to six courses, which can also be ordered à la carte. There is a vegetarian version, too. Choose between wine and sophisticated house-made alcohol-free pairings. Sommelier Celia Brietzke and her team provide friendly, professional service. The pleasant little terrace in front of the building is another plus. Tip: You can also stop by and have something light and a glass of wine at the bar.
